Market rota
Set up takes about 1.5 hours, from 3:30pm for the Wednesday and Friday markets. For Newtown on Thursday we cannot start until 4pm, so we need 3 volunteers. Pack up takes around the same time, starting from 8:15pm, although it depends on the number of helpers.
Hosts are helpers who help first-time customers, elderly and infirm shoppers, offer information on our products and services, arrange the refreshments area, take shopper's payments and generally are around to chat to customers. The hosting is normally split into two slots, early from 5 to 6:30pm and late from 6:30 to 8pm.
