Final market at RISC
Submitted by gill on Sun, 13/12/2009 - 11:39. Front page | NewsSaturday 12th December saw the final market to be held at RISC. Customers in the central Reading area are now served by the Wednesday evening market at the Wesley Methodist church hall on Queens Road about 5 minutes walk from the old venue. The decision to close the Saturday market was made in order to free up resources for the new weekly Wednesday evening market and the shop due to open next Spring. It also means that all markets are now weekly, and so easier to remember, and staff are not required to work at the weekend.
