Set up takes about 1.5 hours, so from 3:30pm for the weekday markets and from 11:30am for the Saturday markets. Pack up takes around the same time, although it depends on the number of volunteers.

Hosts are volunteers who help first-time customers, elderly and infirm shoppers, offer information on our products and services, arrange the refreshments area, take shopper's payments and generally are around to chat to customers.
This 1-2 hour role is vital in helping people to feel comfortable with shopping at the TFC and also in getting feedback. Full instruction is given. Please let us know if you can spare time to volunteer as a host. The most important time to cover is 5pm to 6:30pm.

Outreach events are where we attend a fair or event with our stand. We sometimes also do tasting sessions or sell a small selection of organic goodies. We need people to help with setting up the stand, people to man the stand during the event and people to pack up at the end. Events planned for 2010 are shown below:
