Caversham market moves to Grove Road shop

From Monday 22nd February, the Caversham market, formerly held at Mapledurham Playing Fields Pavilion, has moved to the True Foods shop at Grove Road in Emmer Green.

Final market at RISC

Saturday 12th December saw the final market to be held at RISC. Customers in the central Reading area are now served by the Wednesday evening market at the Wesley Methodist church hall on Queens Road about 5 minutes walk from the old venue. The decision to close the Saturday market was made in order to free up resources for the new weekly Wednesday evening market and the shop due to open next Spring. It also means that all markets are now weekly, and so easier to remember, and staff are not required to work at the weekend.

Meat from Laverstoke Farm

We have started taking regular orders for meat from Laverstoke Park Farm, a biodynamic/organic farm near Basingstoke (27 miles from the True Food Warehouse). As well as the usual selection of lamb, beef, pork and whole chickens Laverstoke Park have Water buffalo. You can buy buffalo sausages, burgers and mince as well as milk and delicious mozzarella cheese.
