Brownies – No added sugar

Ingredients

  1. 200 grams baking chocolate (dark chocolate couverture or 100% cocoa solids chocolate)
  2. ½ teaspoon baking soda
  3. 200 grams pitted dates (about 10 dates)
  4. 3 eggs
  5. ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
  6. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Method

  • In a food processor, pulse chocolate and baking soda until texture of coarse sand
  • Pulse in dates, then eggs, coconut oil and vanilla
  • Transfer batter into a 20 x 20 cms. baking dish
  • Bake at 180°C/350°F for 26-30 minutes
  • Cool for 1 hour
